PUBG's Publisher on Xbox One Not Unknown; it's Microsoft

Hence it is important to take this bit of a news as a rumor only.

Brendan Greene, PlayerUnknown himself, also announced the partnership during the Xbox Gamescom 2017 livestream.

The integration is available now, and should kick in the next time you boot up Steam, and will allow players to automatically capture their best PUBG moments. It might happen in the near future as it sounds like Microsoft has secured this as a console exclusive. Bluehole, still developer and publisher for the Steam version.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is now available in Early Access only on Steam but over the next few months will be exclusive to Xbox One consoles, after that it seems that the title could also come on PlayStation 4 but there is now no information on that version. While the studio will retain creative control of PUBG, the company says that it will utilize Microsoft's vast resources to accelerate console development and maintain quality across all platforms.

"I couldn't be more excited to be working with the team at Bluehole to bring PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds exclusively to our players on Xbox One this year", said Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox.

"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is known for delivering intense, fast-paced action, and for not taking things too seriously", said C.H. Kim, VP & executive producer at Bluehole. "The announcement of our publishing the game on console today is an evolution of the strong partnership we've been building over many months".

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback.
