'Peepli Live' actor Sitaram Panchal passes away after long battle with cancer

It hasn't been long since Sitaram Panchal asked for financial help from his well-wishers on Facebook.

"He died today morning". From 2014 he was taking Ayurvedic treatment for his cancer disease. He was suffering from cancer and was unwell. He started his career by making a debut in Banded Queen after which he worked in films like Slumdog Millionaire, Peepli Live, Paan Singh Tomar, etc.

Veteran actor Sitaram Panchal, who was known for his role in films like "Peepli Live" and "Jolly LLB 2" passed away on Thursday morning after his battle with cancer for three months. His funeral will take place this evening. "He was not keeping well for a long time" as reported in BombayTimes. "We assure him of all the help we can provide to him in his hour of need and also urge all of you to open your hearts", said the message on their post. In his last Facebook post on July 20, the actor thanked his friends and film fraternity for their concerns.

Actor Rajpal Yadav expressed his grief on the passing of veteran actor Sitaram Panchal, who has 54 years old. Before his death, his wife Uma Panchal had told Mumbai Mirror that "He stopped eating completely past year as his stomach would hurt all the time". The Haryana government, after his request for funds, offered Rs 5 lakh for his treatment. "Bhaio, meri help karo meri cancer se halat kharab hoti ja rahi hai, apka kalakar bhai Sitaram Panchal", he wrote.

Reports state that the actor had been suffering from lung cancer for around three years and had even sought help from the public to cover his medical treatment.

The entire nation extends their condolences to the family and relatives of Sitaram Panchal and prays to God for his soul to rest in peace.
