Ivan Perisic's agent meets with Manchester United over potential transfer

Danny Rose is reportedly a man in demand

According to the Italian media vehicle, football-italia Barcelona could sabotage Manchester United's lingering hopes of signing Ivan Perisic.

Perisic is a confirmed target for the Red Devils but Inter don't want to sell him.

Mourinho said this week that if Bale didn't play against Manchester United in the UEFA Super Cup, he would fight to bring him to the club.

Another one of this summer's transfer sagas, 28-year-old Perisic is looking to complete a move to Old Trafford however, the two parties can not agree on transfer fee and the Nerazzurri are now considering offering the Croatian global a bumper new deal to stay in Serie A.

The article claims that Inter Milan had initially demanded that Manchester United include Anthony Martial as part of the deal for Perisic - but the Red Devils have no intention of selling the France global.

The "Special One" had targeted Perisic for a move to Manchester United in the current transfer window, but would not meet the Nerazzurri's asking price of €55 million before they ultimately shut down any negotiations. Mourinho has been a long time admirer of the winger, but the Portuguese has now accepted that he won't be able to sign the Croatian.

The newspaper says Mourinho is looking for a player who can also be deployed in the wing-back role if needed but although Danny Rose is a target, any deal for the Tottenham star is more likely to happen next summer.
