Benjamin Geskin shares a render of the Mi MIX 2 (the one in the center) along with the beautifully crafted Mi MIX and Galaxy S8. Xiaomi has collaborated with the French-based designer, Philippe Starck to design the Mi MIX. It's been a while Xiaomi Mi 6 has launched now it's time for another flagship which is Mi Mix 2.

This means that the Mi Mix 2 could come with an under-screen touch ID.

As per the latest leak of a screenshot captured from the Mi Mix 2 lockscreen, Xiaomi's upcoming smartphone will boast of 3D facial recognition technology, which will be used to unlock the phone. The upcoming smartphone will continue the same design strategy with reports suggesting 93 percent screen-to-body ratio. There's a strong chance the handset seen in the video will closely resemble the final product given that Starck himself had a hand in designing the smartphone. While the Mi MIX isn't the first bezel-less smartphone, the company has totally redefined the smartphone world with all the innovative features and master class design.

Oh, and a few images showing the same phone showed up on Weibo, further confirming the device will probably look as we see in the video. Thin bottom bezels aside, there's not much to pick up from the 39s long video. Moreover, it is being said that the feature may be part of Xiaomi's MIUI 9, but would be exclusive to the Mi Mix 2 which means not every phone from the Chinese brand will be able to make use of the feature. The Mi MIX with the ceramic body is also highly fragile and we have broken our own Mi MIX display. The device was also listed on the benchmarking website, GeekBench revealing the key specifications. It has a rear camera of Dual 16 MP and a front camera of 13 MP.
