Hearthstone: Knights of the Frozen Throne Expansion Release Date Announced

Start Your Weekend with 10 New Hearthstone: Knights of the Frozen Throne Cards

Knights of the Frozen Throne features a new power called Lifesteal.

This latest Hearthstone expansion contains 135 new cards, including hero cards, which transform your heroes into Death Knights with modified powers.

Blizzard has settled on Thursday, August 10 for Knights of the Frozen Throne. The previous one, Journey to Un'Goro, was a hit with players thanks to its unique cards and balanced decks.

In keeping with Blizzard tradition, Hearthstone: Knights of the Frozen Throne draws themes and locations from the developer's other titles, and this time it's Warcraft's Lich King and the Frozen Throne. Earlier this year, Blizzard made changes to how new expansions and single-player Adventures are rolled out. Players will receive a free Death Knight card for beating the prologue mission, and additional card packs for every boss they defeat. Pre-purchase now, and you'll also unsheathe the chilling Frostmourne card back for your collection.

A special, one-time pre-order offer is available for Knights of the Frozen Throne, allowing you to buy 50 card packs for $50. Knight of the Frozen Throne is the sixth expansion for the card game and should go live in the Americas region on August 10, while Europe and Asia regions will get it on August 11.

The new expansion will also introduce a new card type in the form of Hero cards.
