Dyche: Burnley Proved Doubters Wrong With Victory Over Chelsea

Antonio Conte coaches Chelsea versus Arsenal in the Premier League

Antonio Conte's champions looked much livelier in the second half and newly-signed second-half substitute Alvaro Morata got one back in the 69th minute putting Burnley on the back foot.

Antonio Conte has admitted that Chelsea "lost composure" after the key moment of Gary Cahill's red card in their sensational opening-weekend 3-2 defeat to Burnley, but played down any idea of a crisis, as he insisted he trusts the players to get themselves out of this situation.

"But today I saw two faces of the team - one positive in the second half and one negative in the first half".

Nevertheless, Burnley managed to see out the closing stages to claim a famous victory at Stamford Bridge.

New signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid came on to pull one back midway through the second half and then provided an assist for David Luiz, but in-between midfielder Cesc Fabregas was also sent off for a second yellow card.

Eden Hazard, Pedro Rodriguez, and Tiemoue Bakayoko are injured, striker Diego Costa is estranged, and Conte has a threadbare squad after selling midfield anchorman Nemanja Matic to rival Manchester United and loaning out numerous club's youngsters.

Huddersfield Town made a dream start to their debut season in the Premier League as they beat Crystal Palace 3-nil away.

Conte paused and thought long and hard when asked about referee Craig Pawson's decisions, then said: "I think that the coach can make mistakes, the players can make mistakes, the referee".

Who will be the first managerial casualty of the new season?

"We conceded three goals too easily. I have to start to study a new formation with 10 players because this irregularity is worrying". I don't like this type of idea, someone sending a message.

"It quietens down a few stories", Dyche said to Sky Sports.

Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling, and Bernardo Silva " attacking midfielders costing a combined $175 million " came off the bench to help City clinch a 2-0 win at promoted side Brighton.

Conte is reported to be unsatisfied with the club's transfer activity and his lack of say in the recruitment process, and on the evidence of his team's early disarray at Stamford Bridge the problems extend on to the pitch.

Drinkwater has made 218 appearances for Leicester in his six years with the club, scoring 14 goals and winning the Premier League and the Championship during his time in the East Midlands.
