Conor McGregor On Conan O Brien - Makes Bold Prediction

Bomber told Sky Sports he would fight the Manchester UFC star should the opportunity arise

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) approved Wednesday a "one-time" waiver to allow Mayweather and McGregor to wear lighter gloves than boxing rules dictate for their August 26 fight in Las Vegas.

In a recent interview with ESPN, McGregor predicted he would knock out Mayweather in just two rounds. if they fought in 8-ounce gloves.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission ruling on gloves added a dimension that the fight is a sanctioned boxing match, in addition to a made-for-whatever-goes Vegas event, and that McGregor was coming to the ring as a boxer, not a UFC mixed martial arts cage fighter.

Still, Mark Shapiro, the co-president of WME/IMG, whose company owns UFC, said that ticket sales had already generated over $60 million and that it was impossible that they would not break the record of $72.2 million set by the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

The 28-year-old Irishman became the first UFC fighter to hold two belts simultaneously when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez in NY last November for the lightweight championship.

Floyd has fought the majority of his career in 8-ounce gloves, while McGregor has used 4-ounce gloves throughout his MMA career. Both reps said neither fighter was concerned that it would be a risk. "They took both fighters requests into consideration and I'm very happy with it". And I've been off a couple of years.
