Cards to host Rally Cat Appreciation Day at September game

Don't Look Now But The Rally Cat Cardinals Are Back In The Race

After making his (it's a he!) first grand appearance on the field Wednesday night in St. Louis the infamous Rally Cat bit a stadium worker, was taken into the tunnels of the stadium, and promptly disappeared. And you know what? After a short delay, Yadier Molina hit a grand slam on the next pitch, and St. Louis went on to an 8-5 win.

Friday morning, the St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach posted a photo of a kitten that was trapped at the City Garden overnight.

The Rally Cat has been found!

If there is any justice left in the world, Cardinals Cat will spend the next ten months working on a chain gang fixing a railroad. They're going to have Rally Cat Appreciation Day on Sunday, Sept. 10. Also, a portion of each theme ticket purchased will be donated to former Cardinals manager Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation and the St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach. "We thought this theme day would be a fun and unique way to honor our newest furry friend". I'm no expert on either baseball or curses, but given how determined all these folks seem to be to blame the cat, it makes me wonder if perhaps they didn't let the cat psych them out a little too much in the moment?
