Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Patch 1.3.1 Adds New News Channel, Fixes Various Glitches & Improves Gameplay

The news channel will allow players to obtain in-game items, though it's now unclear what those items might be.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild relies a lot more on consumable items than previous games in the series, so if you're running low, you might be wondering where you can turn to for a pick-me-up or three.

Players will be rewarded with in-game items can be accessed by launching the software in the articles from in the new Nintendo Switch News Channel.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is arguably the best game launch this year, with the game getting outstanding review scores across the board. The channel will open up tomorrow, so you'll have to wait a little longer for that.

We have fixed the issue in Pack 1: The Master Trials of the Expansion Pass, in which defeating certain enemies for Kilton was not counted toward completion when playing in Master Mode.

Breath of the Wild's Wii U version has also been updated, and the patch includes "various fixes to improve gameplay".

It's impossible (as always) to try to discern what Nintendo's motives are here, though if they just thought it'd be fun to have a tips post give you in-game items, that's neat.
