Arsene Wenger 'convinced' female Premier League managers will come 'soon'

Vardy laments another late Leicester reverse at Arsenal

Alexandre Lacazette looks certain to make his Premier League debut, as does fellow summer signing Sead Kolasinac, who scored on his competitive debut against Chelsea in their Community Shield victory.

Lampard, widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, believes only the supreme Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo can rank above Hazard, who is still recovering from surgery on his ankle, in football's pecking order.

"I can not go into the game with too many uncertainties", Wenger said.

"At the start of this season it's simple to tell that in this league there are six top teams who should be fighting for the title".

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back after an embarassing season last term missing out on their Champions League spot after finishing fifth.

Reminded that it's more than 20 years since Leicester last beat the Gunners in the Premier League, Shakespeare retorted: "There is always a first time and it would be nice to think it would be Friday night". And if Cech gets an injury Ospina could maybe prove his worth and supplant the ex-Chelsea star as the Gunners Number One, which is definitely possible if he plays a starring role in a few games. I think having the depth in the squad is important.

"It won't be easy", the Italian said.

What a test it will be for the Brighton-born defender on his Premier League bow. "But you know very well that there are surprises".

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech has carried over his fine form from a year ago in to pre-season as he's produced some fine displays recently so I see no reason to think Wenger won't stick with him as his number one in the Premier League. Brighton are an unknown quantity as this is their first outing in the Premier League, but they were a well-disciplined, organised side with quality in attacking areas on their way to promotion glory.

Watford host Liverpool, Stoke visit Everton, Southampton host Swansea and West Brom welcome Bournemouth in Saturday's other matches, while promoted Newcastle are home to Tottenham and Manchester United face West Ham to wrap up the weekend on Sunday.
