Sasikala Gets a Special Kitchen in Jail


Chief V K Sasikala has again managed to grab the spotlight from jail for the special treatment that has provided to her at the Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Prison which has a special kitchen to cook her meals, reports some National medias.

Apart from Sasikala, the report also mentions about random drug tests done to 25 inmates out of which 18 tested positive for marijuana.

Rao also said asserted that if she (Roopa) has observed something in prison she should discuss it with the authority.

Roopa wants a fact-finding committee to be instituted into the rumours that Sasikala was getting special attention after paying a bribe. DIG (Prisons) D Roopa also said that 3-4 convicted prisoners have been deputed to Abdul Karim Telgi for body massage. "I have served a memo to her (Roopa) seeking explanation and evidence to prove her wild allegations".

She even exposed that a prisoner in the jail had tried to sexually assault a nurse in the hospital while he was bought for check-up, but no action taken over it.

Rao said the allegations are absolutely false and baseless.

Rao also went on to say: "The court had ordered to give assistance to Sasikala, and we are only following court orders". "Let there be an inquiry on what is happening there", ANI quoted her as saying. "She has not given any report to me or the government against me or other jail officials", Rao told IANS. "I was on a government sanctioned leave, and when I came back on duty, I found this... So guilty officers should be punished", DIG Roopa said in communication to Rao. I request you to act immediately and punish people breaking the rules", Roopa's letter read.The prison has been in the eye of a controversy involving Sasikala, who is serving term after being convicted in a disproportionate assets case, and is being allowed to meet several visitors in violation of norms.DG (Prisons) Sathyanarayana Rao, however, denied these claims and said, "There is no VIP treatment being given to any prisoner. It is being rumoured that 2 crores bribe has been given for this and allegations of your involvement is unfortunate.

The DG further said they would take action against DIG Roopa.
