It's only been about a month since Kesha tried to hug Jerry Seinfeld, but it feels like yesterday.

A quick refresher: earlier this year, the comedian was giving an interview at a gala event when the singer rushed up to him and requested a hug.

She recalled how she felt after Seinfeld blew her off: "I felt like I was 5 years old". "Instantly I was like, 'Oh, f*** me, ' somehow I ended up in my very own mini-episode of Seinfeld for like five seconds".

The anti-hug made the headlines after it was caught on camera, and now the singer has revealed she persisted because she's a big fan, but should have known Seinfeld wouldn't want to hug her. "I've seen the [Seinfeld] hugging episode, that was my fault".

"He's just not a huggy guy, that's fine", she said.

The singer came over to introduce herself to Seinfeld, asked for a hug, went in for the hug, and was subsequently denied by the comedian. So I just walked up and I just kind of like stood there and smiled, and he just opened his lovely arms and gave me the most wonderful, healing Bob Dylan hug that I have ever dreamt of, and I just could care less about anything else. "I was so scared, 'cause I had just been hug-denied'". "So I walked up and I just stood there and smiled, and he just opened his lovely arms and gave me the most wonderful, healing, Bob Dylan hug that I have ever dreamt of, and I just could care less about anything else".

The hug was definitely a special experience for the 30-year-old, who adds that Dylan was the reason she started writing songs. "This song is about me finding peace in the fact that I can't control everything - because trying to control everyone was killing me".

Seinfeld should probably call Kesha and make things right, but even if he never does, Kesha's hug life has been fulfilled.

"I'm 63, I don't know every pop star.I don't know everyone", he explained.

Regardless of how embarrassing it might have been, she knew that every cloud has its silver lining. "When you get to be my age and you've done a couple things, you have your own reality", he told Extra in June. I have to meet someone, say hello.
