Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon to star in new TV series together

Witherspoon, who played the younger sister of Aniston's Rachel Green in a 2000 episode, moved to the small screen in HBO limited series Big Little Lies, which aired earlier this year and earned her an Emmy nomination. Now, it looks like that wait is finally over. The show is set to explore morning shows and the larger NY media scene, according to THR.

While not much has been revealed about the show at this stage, it has been said that it'l focus on "morning shows and the larger NY media scene that they inhabit".

Jay Carson (House of Cards) is attached to pen the script. Witherspoon will also executive produce alongside her Hello Sunshine banner topper Lauren Levy Neustadter. In addition to starring in the show, Aniston and Witherspoon will both be executive producers on the untitled series.

Jennifer has been busy appearing in films since Friends ended, but has made the occasional guest appearance in shows like 30 Rock and Cougar Town.
