Here's what Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be about

At D23 Expo 2017, Disney announced a pair of projects for Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World that will bring a Marvel-themed hotel and immersive Star Wars hotel experience to life.

During the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, this past weekend, Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson surprised fans with on-stage appearances from the cast of the latest chapter in the Skywalker saga including Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega, to unveil a new behind the scenes reel. No opening date or timeline was given. Additionally, the so-called "galactic legends" could be in reference to any number of Star Wars characters, from fan-favorites like Chewbacca to icons that haven't yet been introduced on the silver screen.

First, Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek announced the "reimagination" of the Disney's Hotel New York into a new Marvel-themed resort.

It'll be a long trip for Californians, however, as Walt Disney World appears to be the only park offering the experience. The Falcon might just be more damaged than others and your reputation as a bad pilot reputation will follow you around the rest of the park. Artist renderings of the new hotel were also released with the announcement, and they look like they were taken straight out of a Star Wars film. The game's lead actress Janina Gavankar, who plays Iden, and a member of the Lucasfilm Story Group, Steve Blank have made appearances at the D23. It's 24/7 Star Wars, and if this isn't the most awesome place this side of the Kessel Run, I don't know what is. Upon entering the hotel, Chapek says "You'll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire". And better polish those Han Solo-style flying skills - the Disney blog reports that your piloting performance matters. Guests and staff are in costumes.
