Google Maps updated to tell best time to leave and travel

Google Maps has started showing a travel time graph for directions

Google Maps is capable of some seriously impressive things, and that's highlighted by its ability to show you how busy a business is at any given time. After all, we can't all afford the new Audi A8 that drives for you when in a jam. More accessibility info has been added as well while Google has started testing out subway station layouts. It not only navigates you how to get somewhere but also when its the best time to make a journey.

The feature was reported by Android Police, and is now believed to be rolling out to all Android users in the USA and the UK. It pops up when you input directions. When selecting a new destination in the app, Maps will pull up things you would expect such as the travel time, any delays, and other relevant information.

This new feature shows users a timeline at the bottom of the interface with different time slots marked in Green, Yellow, and Red colour. This will come in handy if you're trying to determine when you should leave the house, and how long you might take because of the traffic. Also, you never know if Google is already working on adding extra features like time saved stats to the graph.

Google Map's new feature may not be totally accurate and precise as it may tell us that we will reach half hour before the estimated time but may be it will not be much accurate. Lets expect it will be launched with improvements soon.
