'Game of Thrones' season 7

Daenerys Targaryen arrives at Dragonstone in

Harington has become a pro in keeping things secret since the hype surrounding the resurrection of Jon Snow blew the roofs at the end of season 5 of 'Game of Thrones'. But sneaky Littlefinger wants Sansa to take over, so he can rule beside her. She's going to be one of the major characters in Season 7, so it's good to take a look back on exactly what happened to her in Season 6.

Along with the familiar heroes and anti-heroes of the series, there is at least one new face in the seventh season: British singer Ed Sheeran will enjoy a guest appearance.

And after it was revealed that Jon Snow wasn't the biological son of Ned Stark, fans are predicting that he might actually be related to the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). All these topics have been forefront in many fans' minds and these few season premiere images hold a few answers - but pose even more questions.

Before Dany left for Westeros, she hinted that she may be looking to make alliances through marriage to defeat the Lannisters and make her way to the Iron Throne. Did Maisie Williams, a young British actress imagine in 2011 that her role in the Game of Thrones series would be one of the most important of her career?

Now "Game of Thrones" is surpassed only by "The Walking Dead" in terms of drawing a crowd on cable.

So it seems a doomsday atmosphere is prevailing in the "Game of Thrones" universe.

When asked how he felt when he discovered he was potentially in line for the Iron Throne himself, Kit told Access Hollywood: "We know who his mum is but we don't know who his dad is..." In fact, all of this grief has lead to the speculation that as Cersei gains power she will turn into the "Mad Queen" leaving Jaime, her brother and lover, with no other option but to put an end to her life, just as he did with the Mad King, Aerys II. However, with his new role as a tree wizard, we reckon it won't be long until he reunites with his siblings whom he has mostly been separated from for nearly five seasons. Also on board metaphorically: the wealthy lady of Highgarden Olenna Tyrell, now bereft of heirs, and Ellaria Sand, who now controls Dorne after assassinating Doran Martell.

Isaac Hempstead-Wright stars as the paralysed Warg Bran Stark dressed geeky wearing a black suit and thick-rimmed specs to the red carpet event. Oh, and Cersei also killed 90 percent of the important figures in King's Landing.

4 'Winter is coming' has been the motto of House Stark for the past six series, but now the snow has finally descended on Westeros - bringing with it the White Walkers.
