Fans get behind-the-scenes look at Star Wars with new video

Over the weekend a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel was unveiled for Star Wars: The Last Jedi at Disney's D23. It's tough to talk about without getting into the story, but for me, I guess what it ultimately comes down to is that first question of, 'What is the deal with Luke Skywalker?' Luke and Rey are kind of the beating heart of the film, I guess, [as is] their relationship.

Finn (John Boyega), and Poe (Oscar Isaac) join galactic legends for an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past.

The director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi has promised Star Wars fans that the late Carrie Fisher's final appearance in the franchise will give them "emotional satisfaction".

With the fast approaching mid-December release of The Last Jedi, Disney has proven itself to be effective in keeping information vague regarding the details about the movie. I think so, I really hope so.

However, the most impactful part of the footage is the closing line from the late Carrie Fisher at the end, "It's about family, and that's what's so powerful about it".

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in United Kingdom cinemas on December 14, 2017. (Not that it stopped us from tearing up for a second whenever it happened, mind you.) But there's also an wonderful amount of vitality and inventiveness on display here: brilliant colors, fascinating alien creatures, thrilling sword fights, explosive battle scenes, and all of the other things that made Star Wars so special for so many people.
