Caitlyn Jenner Floats Potential Senate Run

Catsimatidis asked if the rumors were true about her running for planning to run for the senate in California and Jenner said: 'I have considered it'.

Caitlyn Jenner has recently confessed her desire to give politics a shot as she is looking for new opportunities to make a bigger impact on the world.

Jenner admits she has struggled to reconcile her lifelong loyalty to the GOP - a party that has blatantly been unsupportive of gay and lesbian rights - with her newly minted status as a transgender icon.

Since coming out as transgender, Jenner has spoken about a number of issues including her own struggles with mental health.

"The political side of it has always been very intriguing to me".

'Can I do a better job from the outside? Following her support of politicians like Ted Cruz-who has been rebuked for his regressive LGBT policies and beliefs-Jenner's politics have been called "breathtakingly clueless" in some LGBT circles.

Many would expect her transgender status to align her with the Democrats, but Jenner is a staunch Republican. "Working the perimeter of the political scene?" she told Catsimatidis. She explained that she's hoping the "perception" of the party can change from being beneficial to "rich, white, guys" to "the party of equality".

Jenner co-hosted popular daytime talk show, The View, and said she is 'disappointed in a few ways' by Donald Trump.

I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real...

"I liked Bruce. He was a good person".

Jenner running probably won't change the broader perception of the party amongst LGBT voters; only 21 percent of polled LGBT Americans lean Republican or identity as Republican. "If you can do that - if you can be socially aware of what's going on but conservatively economically [sic], I mean, that's the way to go".

'And I got a voice and they'd better listen, because I will come after them, ' she added. "I don't believe in government".

"He did a lot of very, very good things and it's not like I just want to throw that away", she added.
