Billboard's Top Money Makers

Breadwinner Her husband Jay-Z did not make the list this year as he did not tour or release new music in 2016 though his 4:44 album and tour will likely land him on it next year

Billboard released its annual "Top 50 Money Makers" list for a year ago on Thursday, with Queen Bey topping the list at a whopping $62.1 million, which laps Guns N' Roses's $42.3 million, in second place, by $20 million.

In April of 2016, the entertainer released her successful album-and-film combo Lemonade which was swiftly followed by the Formation World Tour which hit stadiums across the globe, bringing in $161 million from the USA dates alone.

The queen of the Beyhive made a whopping $62.1 million past year, with the bulk of that amount - $54.7 million - earned from her Formation World Tour.

It's not much of a surprise given her massive popularity and fan base, but the numbers are still astonishing as Queen B earned over $20 million more than the second act on the list Guns N Roses. Drake comes in at number four, with earnings of $37.3 million.

The rest of the top 10 features Coldplay at six, Justin Bieber at seven, Luke Bryan, Kanye West, and Kenny Chesney, who falls eight places from last year's number two to 10. The duo almost match that total with both their streaming ($6.1 million) and publishing ($5.7 million) grosses, though - topping the latter rankings, in large part due to lead Pilot Tyler Joseph being the sole songwriter credited on the group's multi-platinum-selling Blurryface album.

The 23-year-old singer is the youngest in the top 10. The majority of that figure comes from streaming sales, at $18.1 million. Twelfth on the list is Rihanna, who earned $22 million in 2016, followed by Future who made $17 million.
