The India team which was surprisingly beaten in the finals of the World Cup in London on June 18 by Pakistan, arrived in the Caribbean on Tuesday, June 20 to play the West Indies a five-match limited-over series which started on June 23. The hosts came into the series after ending their three-match series against Afghanistan at 1-1.

The visitors lost Dhawan and Kohli early on in the innings but a partnership of 66 runs for the third wicket between Yuvraj Singh and Rahane provided some resistance to the batting before Yuvraj was trapped in front of the wicket by Bishoo for 39.
