Warriors up 3-0

Warriors Hope To Chase Away Game 3 Blues

James has defied the odds before, perhaps most impressively a year ago against Golden State when his Cavaliers were the first team to win a title after trailing the Finals 3-1.

Golden State's victory has Durant one win away from an National Basketball Association title, which is the very reason the four-times scoring champion joined the team previous year after only reaching the Finals once before.

The Warriors recruited Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder, who had lost to Golden State in the Western Conference Finals. "He's been an awesome player in this league for a long time and I think he senses this is his time, his moment, his team. and I think he's having the time of his life out there".

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving combined for 77 points, and James rested only two minutes the entire game. To have the confidence to make that shot, in that moment, over the best player in the game has Golden State on the cusp of going 16-0 en route to an NBA Championship.

Durant would finish with a cool 31 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including 4-of-7 from three. But if Cleveland can find its three-point shot to help take some of the pressure on offense off LeBron James, it could at least avoid a sweep and send this series back to Golden State.

Steph Curry sealed the game with two more freebies.

"But Game 4, I look forward to it", Irving said.

The Warriors are 15-0 in the post-season and another victory in game four would see them become the first team to go through the play-offs unbeaten. "They do a great job of spacing out the floor, keeping a high tempo and just made some big-time plays down the stretch". "It wasn't our smartest game that we have played all year, but it was maybe our toughest in terms of our ability to just hang in there".

I would say it's definitely the most firepower he's played against.

"Even when you're playing well, you got to play A-plus-plus, because they're going to make runs and they're going to make shots and they got guys that's going to make plays".

Kerr knew what James knew before this series began when he wanted to bring in more fire power: that Kyrie and Bron-Bron can't do it all.

"Draymond got a tech, he gathered, got it back together, we moved on".

The Cavaliers suffered a 118-113 defeat in game three of the NBA Finals - a five-point loss - and it's demonstrable that a lot of the damage came with James off the court.

According to ESPN's research, the first two games of the series were played at a faster pace - possessions per minute - than any of James' previous 212 playoff games. "Let's not forget he's averaging [34 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists] in the NBA Finals, you just don't do that".
