Supergirl Has New Showrunners For Season 3

Supergirl: Queller & Rovner Promoted To Co-Showrunners

Deadline.com reports that Ali Adler, co-creator of the "Supergirl" TV series, has stepped down as co-showrunner of the series for Season 3.

Both Queller and Rovner joined the Warner Bros. The two will be sharing co-showrunning duties with series' co-creator Andrew Kreisberg. While the latter previously served as the co-executive producer, the former was the series' consulting producer.

Queller and Rovner joined the series halfway through season one as co-executive producers. Prior to the announcement, Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller have proved time and time again how they will be a good addition as showrunners. She has worked on other successful female-driven properties like Supergirl, including Gilmore Girls, Felicity and Gossip Girl. Rovner's credits include Crossing Jordan, Private Practice and Dallas. Having both talented behind-the-scene workers will heighten the standard of The CW series' this upcoming season. Under the pact - Adler's first overall agreement - she will develop new projects for CBS Studios and also will consult on the studio's new CW drama series Dynasty, a reboot of the hit primetime soap.

Supergirl will return for a third season on October 9th.
