Standalone PS4 Version of Modern Warfare Remastered Box Art Leaked

Modern Warfare Remastered

CharlieIntel.com got its hands on some leaked photos of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered's game case along with store assets which suggests that the retail release is imminent. Right now, there are conflicting release dates, with some claiming that Activision will shadow drop the standalone later today, while others claim the game will launch on the 27th of June.

It has also been revealed that the game will cost $39.99 which is slightly cheaper than newer titles, but it is still pretty expensive for a game that was released a while ago.

IGN has contacted Activision for comment, but received no response at time of writing.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is getting its own standalone version. Infinite Warfare has struggled to make many fans.

So if you really wanted this but didn't want to stump up for the Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, your wish, it seems will come true after all. Looks like that is about to change, however. If it's coming out on PS4 though you'd expect an Xbox One version to follow.

There was a fan backlash to the restriction when Modern Warfare Remastered was announced a year ago.

So far, Activision has not confirmed or denied this leak but E3 is in less than a month so perhaps they were saving this announcement for then.
