Perez says he hasn't spoken to Ronaldo about rumors of exit

Florentino Perez will stay on as Real Madrid president until 2021 after no other candidates presented a bid to rival the incumbent before Sunday's deadline, the European champions announced in a statement on Monday.

"What happened to him has affected his credibility".

The Portuguese worldwide is alleged to have knowingly used a business structure created in 2010 to hide his image rights income from Spanish authorities.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez denies speaking with Cristiano Ronaldo in recent days. I know Cristiano and he's a good guy, not just with the ball, but as a person.

Among the clubs reported to be interested in Ronaldo is former team Manchester United for a fee which could hit 200 million euros, with a possible get-out clause of one billion euros.

"This is the model that will continue to define Real Madrid".

Bournemouth's Joshua King has been linked with a move to Premier League runner-up Tottenham Hotspur and the 25-year-old striker has said he is flattered by the news, according to the Bournemouth Echo.

Onda Cero say Perez will "give his version of the "Ronaldo case" in an interview with the Spanish radio station late on Monday evening, while an event marking his re-election will be held at 6.30pm United Kingdom time at the Bernabeu's presidential box.

According to reports in Portuguese media, the 32-year-old four-times world player of the year had already made up his mind to ask the club for a transfer, saying he was "deeply disenchanted" with the allegations against him. "We have to give our best to make sure that this club lives up to its past". "No one had told us anything and we are delighted with him".

"I do not know his tax situation very well".

Upon hearing the news, the Real boss reportedly immediately phoned his player, who is now with Portugal at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russian Federation, to discover the real reasons behind his decision to make his intentions public.

"He has to fulfil his fiscal obligations, like all".

Eight years on, Ronaldo has scored a club-record 406 goals in 394 appearances.
