Jay Z Announces New Album '4:44' For June 30

Jay Z Spits New Bars In Latest “4:44” Teaser “Letter To My Dad That I Never Wrote”

"Jay Z is a global icon and we're giving customers an incredible opportunity to be among the first to experience his new album 4:44", Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure said in a statement.

If you go to Sprint.com and page through the links promoting their new partnership with Tidal, you end up finding this message for new and existing Sprint customers who can take advantage of a complimentary six-month trial of Tidal.

At press time, it wasn't clear if the film will be part of a full visual album (à la Beyoncé's Lemonade) or simply an accompaniment featuring music from the record.

Jay Z is preparing to release his thirteenth solo album on June 30th, and it's going to be a Tidal exclusive.

Jay Z's busy summer just got even busier.

The newly-released version of the ad has Hov briefly presenting the song as an unwritten letter to his estranged father Adnis Reeves; Reeves abandoned the family when Jay Z was 11, and the two mended their differences before Reeves died.

And considering he hasn't released a studio album since 2013's Magna Carta Holy Grail, whatever it may be, 30 June can not come sooner. It comes after his Barack Obama-approved induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
