"The Tour de France wins we have achieved together have been a big part of the team's history".

This year a 32-year-old from Launceston might be ready to repeat Cadel Evans' fantastic feat.

Porte revealed the nine-man team had trained for just about every scenario after being plagued by bad luck in recent years, most noticeably the disastrous stage two puncture in last year's Tour that cost him a podium spot.

The victor of the last mountain stage has gone on to win the Tour four times in the past decade, and on only one occasion was the rider in yellow at this point not the final Tour victor (Cadel Evans in 2010, since you asked). "We've got eight incredibly talented team-mates to support me, and a lot of guys behind the scenes as well".

"I think consistency is the key for Richie ... to not have any bad days or mistakes or moments of not paying attention and getting caught out, where he loses time, because that's been his enemy in the past - flat tyres, crashes, being badly placed when the race hits a crosswind - he's got to avoid those errors". Unlike previous years, there will be no heavy climbing in the penultimate stage; instead, a time trial in Marseille will shake up the top 10 one last time.

This year's Tour only features 36km of time trialling - 14km in stage one at Dusseldorf and then the crucial second-last stage.

Froome, who has also been asked questions about an investigation that has centred on the delivery of a "jiffy bag" to former team mate Bradley Wiggins in 2011, said he had "no trust issue with Team Sky". Why is the Tour de France such a special race and why do you continuously prioritize it over the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a Espana?

"The big favorite again is Froome but "Bird" (Quintana's nickname) is in good shape", he said.

"We have the GIGN with some measures I'm aware of and others I'm not and this year every morning there will be 14 police dogs to sniff out explosives".

"It's a massive opportunity for me". I've been in the service of others and so to be outright leader, the faith that BMC is putting on me, I'd like to repay it. "I can't make it any more plain".

Swift has gone in to his new team as one of UAE's leading lights and he returns to the Tour de France after more than half-a- decade as one of two sprinters tasked with winning stages over the coming three weeks.

"The UK now has some serious strength in depth across all types of terrain, so expect to see GB riders contesting daily wins, especially in the medium mountain stages".

"Many things can happen". The enhanced Tour de France solution uses a fully cloud-based, virtualised data centre which provides scale, and means fewer people are required on the ground to enable the solution. "That's the pretty simple law of the jungle".

For one, there is no shortage of rivals in the dominant Dauphine rider Richie Porte, Colombian climber Nairo Quintana and previous Tour victor Alberto Contador.

It's such a big goal to go for my fourth Tour, it feels as if it's an even greater achievement if I'm able to win four, so I have to work even harder to get there.
