Afternoon storms to pepper NC again Saturday

Cloudy With Periods of Rain Friday

Organized storms are possible, and capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour. However, a few isolated showers and storms can not be completely ruled out for the afternoon. But, redevelopment of storms is already occurring in eastern Oklahoma, and so addition rain and storms will be possible in parts of Northwest Arkansas, and especially in the River Valley, by this afternoon. A few pop-up storms may still form, but chances for rain in general across the area should stay small as a cold front stays west of us.

Sunday is expected to be hot, with a high of 84, and humid, according to Storm Team 4. Scattered strong to severe storms will be possible Monday evening. Then it's another warm and muggy night as lows only reach the lower 70s.

Tuesday|Chance of afternoon showers. Most storms will wind down after 10pm but it will stay cloudy tonight with lows dipping into the upper 60s. Low humidity and temperatures back to seasonal averages near 80º.

Storm chances increase early in the work week. It will be warmer and more humid tomorrow though, with highs in the upper 80s! Rain gauges at Raleigh-Durham International Airport registered more than 2 inches of rain.

Monday|Partly cloudy with afternoon showers or thunderstorms.

Saturday will be partly sunny and hot with a chance of a PM storm.
