Packers to release RB Christine Michael, report says

Montravius Adams found out Packers drafted him while at the hospital... after the birth of his son

Jones told members of Green Bay's media contingent of Rogers.

Those three players took on more responsibility a year ago after veteran cornerback Sam Shields went down with a concussion in the season opener.

More than three months later, the Packers apparently can't get that game out of their heads.

"It's insane I've been watching Ha Ha (Clinton-Dix) a lot". King said before pausing to catch himself.

Smart picks - coupled with having one of the NFL's best quarterbacks, of course - set the stage for the 2010 team to win Super Bowl XLV, and Thompson acknowledged on Saturday evening that he'd like his team to "get one. or two" more before he retires. "Anything I can do to help is what I'm here to do". Shaheen had 16 touchdowns, a Division II record for tight ends, in 2016 and is an impressive physical specimen at 6-foot-6, 278 pounds, earning the nickname "Baby Gronk", an homage to Patriots All-Pro Rob Gronkowski.

"We felt the team needed a little more juice on the roster", Thompson said. "A one-two punch, or three headed or four headed monster with they backs they already have, I'm just excited to get up there".

The Packers are banking on it.

Jones, who has played both safety positions in college, left North Carolina State after his junior season. They used three of their 10 picks in last week's draft on running backs. King and House will join third-year holdovers Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins and LaDarius Gunter at cornerback. They even went out and signed Davon House, a cornerback they once let walk in free agency.

The Packers have added another weapon to their offense. And warm bodies, for that matter. The latter is a 6-foot-1, 220-pound safety with as much quickness (4.41 seconds in the 40) as the former. He's also a powerful hitter who can play near the line of scrimmage. With guys who don't get invited to the combine you don't always see that. I kind of had a gut feeling that Yancey would go in the 6th or 7th, as his production, size and speed are all above average.

"I'm happy it's done and I'm kinda ready to move forward and get into playing football again", said an elated Gray, who is a mechanical engineering student at the U of M.

Versatility and depth are increasingly important in the National Football League, where passing is the preferred mode of transportation for offenses. "The goal is to start the process to be two wins better than we were past year", McCarthy said.

Jones fell into a flawless situation with the storied Packers organization, playing along side a potential future Hall of Fame quarterback in Aaron Rogers, and joins a young backfield competition with no clear leader sitting months away from training camp.

"I'm definitely up to it", King said.

"But the other thing is, he's a pretty intelligent football player". Many scouting reports immediately mentioned Jones' versatility. "It's nice to add people to that equation".

Jones was satisfied with the idea of Williams being the hefty back and he would play the role of the smaller back. "Will battle Montgomery for the starting RB job as a rookie for the Packers". "We need those players in that situation to make that jump this year".

The Packers knew they had holes to fill at cornerback and McCarthy seemed pleased with their selections.
