Oops! Bella Hadid suffers wardrobe malfunction at Cannes

Deepika is part of the LOreal beauty contingent at the Cannes Film Festival this year and she shared the red carpet space with other ambassadors of the beauty brand like Julianne Moore.

Bella Hadid might not be a movie star but she ended up being the centre of attention at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday night - for all the wrong reasons... Hadid complemented the daring dress with a sapphire pendant and jeweled high heels. Because no, it's not 2016 again and yes, Bella Hadid really has had another close shave where her crotch is concerned.

Jury members from right Agnes Jaoui, Fan Bingbing, Jessica Chastain, Will Smith, Jury president Pedro Almodovar, Paolo Sorrentino, Gabriel Yared, Park Cha-Wook and Maren Ade pose for photographers during the photo call for the Jury at the 70th worldwide film festival, Cannes, southern France, Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

The 20 year old suffered the ultimate wardrobe malfunction as she accidentally flashed her knickers while smiling for cameras.

A standout red carpet star was Elle Fanning who turned heads in a cream gown by Vivienne Westwood with a unicorn watercolour design on the back of the skirt. In order to avoid the blunders of a year ago, the attractive surrounded the very amusing Alex Lutz. PLUS she'd had the sense to wear undies that matched her dress, so at least that avoided an embarrassing mismatch situation.

The 70th Cannes Film Festival opened Wednesday under the lights of Cote D'Azur sunshine and high-wattage stars such as Will Smith and Marion Cotillard.

Emily Ratajowski, Lily-Rose Depp, Hailey Baldwin, Hofit Golan, and more all also walked the red carpet.

After winning for "The White Ribbon" in 2009 and "Amour" in 2012, "there are few filmmakers Cannes would rather see break the record", Clarke added in his predictions for the festival that runs until May 28.

Smith, who has not had a film play at Cannes before, was dressed dapperly and posing cheerfully with festival-goers screaming "Will!"
