Justin Bieber Arrives in Mumbai, India for Concert


Mumbai (Maharashtra), May 11: With the global singing sensation Justin Bieber taking centre-stage at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, it's the turnout of the who's who of Bollywood that has been making waves on the social media. "Thank you all for coming and taking out time", the 23-year-old said before singing his penultimate track "Purpose". "@Amit_Bhatia99 you ready? #PurposeTourStadiums".

Justin Bieber's India concert was being touted as the next big thing after King of Pop Michael Jackson came calling decades ago.

"Hello India", Justin Bieber said to the crowd of Beliebers, who waited for hours altogether in scorching heat to watch him perform on a large stage enhanced by graphics as well as enlivened with startling fireworks and the rousing response of the audience.

Majority were spotted singing and dancing along every song on the play list, however, there were some who weren't impressed with the 23-year-old's performance at all.

The Asia leg of Bieber's "Purpose World Tour" is set to be the the most expensive live concert in India, with a budget of $4 million.

Not just Sarkar but several others were also of the same opinion and one more youngster Tina Joshi expressed her dejection over Bieber's not being in his spirit. Justin Bieber was ranked 26th in Forbes magazine's Celebrity 100 list in 2016. The climactic gig was preceded by opening acts by Sartek, Zaeden and Alan Walker. "The entire "Purpose Album" is fantastic especially "Love yourself".

Hemant Nagrale, the Navi Mumbai police commissioner, recently said: "Over 500 police personnel and 25 officers would be deployed for security". The actress didn't expect such a huge turnout at the event.

He will be served rich authentic cuisine representing the 29 Indian states. The pop singer is also expected to spend the next two days visiting New Delhi, Jaipur and Agra.
