Jose Mourinho says Manchester United will rest players against Arsenal

Not even The A-Team could overshadow Marcus Rashford as the Manchester United striker provided the world with another glimpse of his prodigious talents courtesy of a sublime free-kick against Celta Vigo.

"We played well enough to have the result closed but we have to go and play at Old Trafford".

Midfielder Paul Pogba returns from muscle fatigue, while Juan Mata could start after undergoing groin surgery.

Manchester United's forward Marcus Rashford (R) celebrates with his teammate Ecuadorian defender Antonio Valencia after scoring during their UEFA Europa League semi final first leg football match RC Celta de Vigo vs Manchester United FC at the Balaidos stadium in Vigo on May 4, 2017. We missed chances but the team played well, they were compact against a team who are hard to play against. It also gives United a good chance of returning to the Champions League, as it sits in fifth place in the Premier League.

Mourinho continued: "We tried to win the match".

Arsene Wenger's side took a massive blow in their chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League as they lost 2-0 to bitter rivals Tottenham on Sunday. But it remains to be seen whether all of them would get to play on Thursday. The England worldwide scored the only goal of the match midway through the second half with a superb free kick.

While Mourinho has previously criticised Jones and Smalling for being too "cautious" with their injuries, he praised the Ivory Coast worldwide Bailly for returning so quickly.

"We are going to try (to win). we are not going to Arsenal to say "beat us", or "beat us 5 or 6-0".

Celta's league form may have drifted as they have focused their attention on Europe on the second half of the season, but their rivals are not in great form at the moment either.

United's Henrikh Mkhitaryan, a reliable Europa League goalscorer this term, was denied by Alvarez when clean through, while Jesse Lingard was the next to be thwarted by the 30-year-old stopper.

"Last year we scored three goals away against Atletico to go through and their defence is very strong and this year we won 2-1 at the Bernabeu and they are nearly in the Champions League final".

"I don't think they are coming just to enjoy the game".
