Facebook founder Mark Zucerkerberg went down the memory lane and in a throwback Thursday post, shared a video of the moment when he got his acceptance letter from Harvard. When Harvard invited him to give the address, he filmed a video with another famous dropout who also earned an honorary degree: Bill Gates.

To help grow Facebook, Zuckerberg never finished college and dropped out in his Sophomore year to more to California. Almost 15 years after that, he will get his honorary degree at commencement next Thursday.

The video shows a pajama-clad Zuckerberg sitting on his bed and checking his email on a computer. Zuckerberg clicks on the mail from Harvard and lets out an unenthusiastic "Yay", before he says to his dad, "I got accepted".

"I got accepted", were the words he first said when he found he got accepted into the elite university.

The 33-year-old is now the fifth richest person in the world, worth an estimated US$56 billion (RM242 billion). At the time, "my mom bet me I'd drop out and my younger sister bet me she'd finish college before me. Now I suppose the cycle is complete", Mr Zuckerberg writes in the comments section on Facebook.
