On Tuesday May 9, Mishra issued an open letter to Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging him to contest open elections.

He had also filed FIR against AAP leaders Satyendar Jain, Ashish Khetan, Raghav Chaddha, Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak for using illegal money for foreign tours. The attack came after hours when he started the protest by a 28-year-old man claiming to be the worker of Aam Aadmi Party.

"You know what kind of deals I am talking about". "Today, I will be starting my hunger strike".

The ousted minister began the strike demanding that AAP disclose details of funding for foreign tours of some of its leaders. The CBI said that Mr Mishra's complaints against the Delhi government ministers and others will be "examined and verified".

Ratcheting up his attack on Kejriwal and the party leadership, Mishra had on Monday submitted documents related to the water tanker scam to the ACB, alleging that Kejriwal delaying probe against former chief minister Sheila Dikshit.

Police have received a complaint from Mishra and are taking appropriate legal action, said DCP (North) Jatin Narwal.

Mishra even mocked Kejriwal for not expelling him.

While announcing Mann's appointment as Punjab unit chief, Arvind Kejriwal reportedly told him that he should stop drinking or he would be removed from the post.

Recently we have seen a Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra made corruption allegations on Arvind Kejriwal to which the social activist Anna Hazare stated that he got saddened by that.

Mishra was sacked as a minister and from the primary membership of the party after he accused Kejrwal of accepting bribes and being involved in a land scam.

While listing out details of his trips overseas since 2015, Singh said that he had visited Canada and the USA for party related activities and undertook a trip to Russian Federation to attend a wedding which was funded by the family that invited him.
