'Deadpool 2' Adds 'The Strain' & 'Baywatch' Star Jack Kesy As Villain

'Deadpool 2' Has Found its Creepy Irish Villain

Jack Kesy is reportedly set to star in "Deadpool 2".

According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox has hired actor Jack Kesy (The Strain, Baywatch) to play a major Deadpool 2 villain in the upcoming sequel.

Kesy might be best known for playing Gabriel Bollivar in the TV series The Strain, a goth rock star who was one of the early plane passengers infected with the virus that turned them into vampires.

In the comics, Black Tom a.k.a. Thomas Cassidy, has the ability to manipulate, connect with and project energy through plant life. Though no official confirmation of shooting has been released, we've already been teased by the short "No Good Deed" the played before the theatrical release of Logan and the casting of the film's co-hero Cable as Josh Brolin. He was created by X-Men writer Chris Claremont in 1976's Uncanny X-Men #101. James Brolin will also play Cable. Tom raised Banshee's daughter Theresa, who grew up to become the mutant X-Force member Siryn and later fell romantically for Deadpool. In the comics, he is depicted as an enemy of the X-Men, clashing with Deadpool a number of times.

Several characters from the first Deadpool are also confirmed to return, including Leslie Uggams as Deadpool's roommate Blind Al, Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Colossus (Stefan Kapicic), and taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni).

"Deadpool 2" is set to hit the big screens on June 1 next year.

David Leitch (John Wick) will direct the sequel, taking over for original Deadpool director Tim Miller.
