Cavs set NBA record with 41-point halftime lead

The Cleveland Cavaliers set an National Basketball Association record on Friday night by opening a 41-point halftime lead over the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Cavaliers: James is first player with at least 30 points in eight straight playoff games since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1970.

LeBron James and Co. led 61-39 at halftime and coasted from there, winning 117-104 as a 4-point road favorite.

Rood said the Cavs action has been predominantly public play.

The Cavaliers jumped out to a 32-18 lead after the first quarter, but things were just getting started.

"My only job is to be the MVP to this team every night I play", LeBron said, before uttering a chilling reminder: "This league knows what I bring to the table". "Our team is in a great groove right now", James said.

Another 30-plus-point performance from "King" James will see him tie Michael Jordan's record for the most consecutive playoff games scoring 30 or more. The Cavs look awesome, while the Celtics have been up-and-down this playoff run. Even though Brown had a solid game himself, he didn't put up 38 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, like James. Hey, maybe there will be a win in TD Garden that will boost the Cs forward against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Irving was chosen in the Game Winner of the Year for his decisive 3-pointer in Game 7 of the Finals against the Warriors, along with Westbrook against the Denver Nuggets and the Suns' Tyler Ulis against the Celtics.

Coach Brad Stevens said that Thomas has been playing with a nagging hip injury that he aggravated "pretty significantly" against Washington in Game 6 of their East semifinal matchup. The Cavaliers won their two home games against Boston in the regular season by six points apiece but the Celtics haven't played in Cleveland since December 29.n League lead with 11.

"We got our ass kicked". Thomas guided the Celtics to four straight wins after they lost their first two games of the series at home.

"We just want to try to get better", James said. "The defending champs swept us off the floor". They earned the top pick in the "17 draft, while their top pick in the past draft, Jaylen Brown (19 points Friday), seems to improve with each Celtics possession". I've always thought that everyone outside of where you're at, if your situation is good, everyone's happy.
