'Baahubali 2' becomes first Indian movie to enter 1500-crore club

The Rajamouli directorial has now become the first film to amass Rs 1500 crore at worldwide box office.

But with the release of Half girlfriend and Hindi Medium on Friday, May 19, we have to wait and watch whether this will impact Baahubali's performance at the box office or not. With its release in over 6500 screens exclusively in India and over 9000 screens across the world - the highest for an Indian film till date, this movie continues to have a phenomenal run at the box office.

The Hindi version of "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" has now become the highest grossing film in Bollywood and is eyeing the Rs 400 crore club, said trade expert Taran Adarsh. It earned a gross total of Rs 1,210 crore from India and Rs 265 crore from overseas. The wrestling drama has stunned the world by collecting Rs 500 crore from China alone.

The movie stars Prabhas in the titular role and has Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in other pivotal roles. The movie has achieved the roaring success at the global box office because of the hard work, dedication and determination of Baahubali team.

Baahubali: The Conclusion has become the first movie to reach such a huge figure even after being dubbed in multiple languages. This is the first time that an Indian film has managed to rake in that much money.
