Thibaut Courtois not with Chelsea squad for Manchester United game

Courtois suffered an ankle injury in training and will be replaced by Asmir Begovic

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to discuss the cause of the ankle injury which kept Thibaut Courtois out of this afternoon's Premier League clash with Manchester United.

The Belgium worldwide, who is reported to have suffered an ankle injury in training, was replaced in goal by Asmir Begovic in Chelsea's only change.

This was because the Blues' first-choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, was ruled out of the vital match with an ankle injury.

Chelsea face United 24 hours after Tottenham again closed the gap on the Premier League leaders to four points, having successful restored their seven-point advantage last weekend.

For United, meanwhile, manager Jose Mourinho chose to leave Ibrahimovic on the bench with the 35-year-old top scorer having faced Anderlecht in Thursday's Europa League quarter-final first leg.

"The bad news is that he is injured and now it is important to work to recover very soon".

David De Gea, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Ashley Young are brought in to replace Sergio Romero, Michael Carrick, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic.

Courtois was not the only Chelsea player involved in the commercial activities as Nemanja Matic, Nathan Ake, Marcos Alonso and Asmir Begovic were also involved.
