'The Walking Dead' season 8: These three characters will have larger roles

The Walking Dead promotes three actors to series regulars for season 8

The seventh season of AMC's The Walking Dead went down as one of the most polarizing seasons in the show's run and there's no denying that the network's decision to up three recurring players to series regulars in Season 8 is sure to be just as polarizing!

Season seven featured the largest cast of series regulars with 20 and killed off four central characters: Steven Yeun's Glenn, Michael Cudlitz's Abraham, Spencer (Austin Nichols) and Sonequa Martin-Green's Sasha, the latter of whom was written out in the finale.

Today, TVLine reported that the Hap and Leonard alum, who plays the leader of the Scavengers in Jadis, has been promoted to series regular. Nacon plays as Enid, a teenage resident of Alexandria who has shown a good connection with Carl.

"It's going to become a bit more kinetic and fast-moving, because that's where the story is going", Scott Gimple said of "The Walking Dead" Season 8.

A few The Walking Dead actors have gotten themselves a promotion heading into the eighth season of the popular zombie drama. The "TWD" stars may begin shooting in May up to November.

Fans may have lost some favorites in The Walking Dead season 7, but next season they will get the chance to spend more time with newer characters.

There's no guarantee that series regular status means these guys will have dominant roles in Season 8, or survive the entirety of the season.
