Anaheim Hills has always been a participant in fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Almost 120 cancer survivors, their spouses, caretakers, and guests were served a delicous meal. Your participation and donations make a difference: $50.00 could help provide five rides to and from treatment for a cancer patient.

American Cancer Society Relay For Life events are active in more than 5,200 communities in 27 countries around the world.

The 2017 Relay For Life will be held at Whiteside Park in Ely on Friday, August 11.

Gather your family, friends, co-workers, form a team and join this years Relay.

Event organizers say the time change was made in hopes that more teams would participate. Join us by raising funds in our fight against cancer, celebrate our survivors and remember our loved ones. Luminaries honoring cancer survivors and family and friends who lost their battles with cancer will line the square. You can get involved by becoming a sponsor, joining a team, volunteer before and during the Relay, or honoring a loved one with a luminary or purchasing a lap to honor someone special.

The Mark Shaw Agency is inviting all readers to help make a positive impact and improve cancer research efforts by taking the time to help support the event from the following page: http://www.markshawagency.com/When-We-Walk-Together-We're-Bigger-Than-Cancer_17_community_cause.

The Relay for Life of Carroll County cancer survivor celebration and dinner was held April 8 at the Mount Carroll Church of God. Following the meal, two quilts were given to two of the survivors as door prizes.

We Relay because we have been touched by cancer.
