Seriously Injured After 14-Year-Old Crashes SUV in Florida

A 14-year-old driver faces charges after he lost control of an SUV and crashed on westbound Interstate 4 on Saturday. Six people were hurt. WTSP

A 20-year-old Port Richey woman is facing DUI charges after she rear-ended a driver in Pasco County on Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol went to the crash site in the westbound lanes near the Stockton Street 5:05 p.m.

A Florida teenager too young to drive is facing charges for a vehicle crash that injured seven people.

Also in the vehicle was 34-year-old Louis Gabino Serrano Soto, his three young children and a 16-year-old friend of the family. The boy then lost control of the auto and went off the road, hitting a barrier wall, according to the FHP crash report.

Authorities rushed De Jesus and his mother, 32-year-old Amanda Teresa Rossiter, to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries. "That's all I can say is thank God", the teen and the injured children's grandfather said.

De Jesus, the driver, was charged with careless driving and driving without a license, troopers said.

The crash closed parts of westbound Interstate 4 for several hours.
