Samsung To Launch Galaxy S8 And S8 Plus In India Today

Photos posted on Twitter by tech blogger Eldar Murtazin reveal the frontside and backside of what looks to be a Galaxy S8.

While the Galaxy S8 is powered by a 3000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a larger 3500 mAh battery. This app called: All in One Gestures would be able to reprogram the dedicated Bixby key to open another app like the Camera. There was no need for a stand-alone curved-display phone this year round.

Samsung's new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are scheduled to be released this Friday, April 21st, in South Korea and in a number of global markets including the United States. These phones can be prebooked from today and will be available on May 5.

Philip Berne, head of the reviews program at Samsung U.S.A, has confirmed on Twitter that Samsung has indeed pulled the plug on the ability to remap the Bixby button on both Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Coming to the hardware, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes loaded with Exynos 8895 octa-core processor which is built on the 10nm process. The phones also have the option of Iris scanner and face recognition for unlocking them. It would also be available for offline purchase via Samsung's official retail partners.

That also begs the question - could this model use the design we keep hearing about with a fingerprint scanner under the display glass? These are bezel-less displays sporting a resolution of 2961x1440 pixels, along with the 18:9 aspect ratio.

The analyst further mentions that the details about the camera module, featuring 3x optical zoom, 12-megapixel wide-angle CIS supporting dual photodiode (2PD), 13MP telephoto CIS, dual 6P lenses and dual Optical Image Stabilization.

The Galaxy Note 8 is also tipped to feature a dual-rear camera setup which is a first for the South Korean company.

A listing on the website shows that the handset could be getting a 128 GB version, which is double what it originally came with past year. It supports USB Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
