Pacers' George denies comments were critical

Cleveland Cavaliers J.R. Smith passes against Indiana Pacers Jeff Teague in the first half in Game 2 of a first-round NBA basketball playoff series Monday

It was a little more nervy than it ought to have been, though, as the Cavs were leading by 18 points in the final quarter before taking their foot off the pedal. But, in Game 2, Kevin Love abused Stephenson to the tune of 10 straight points in the third quarter. "He came in and made it tough on Paul George and made a couple shots for us also".

In his 12th postseason run in 14 seasons, James is averaging 28.5 points, 10.0 assists and 8.6 rebounds in 42.5 minutes, up from 26.4 points, 8.7 assists and 8.6 rebounds in 37.8 minutes during the regular season. As always, three-point shots were Cleveland's main weapon in the 117-111 victory over in, but it has to be noted that they had no more than seven offensive rebounds in Game 2. However, rather than discussing the tremendous hole that the Pacers now find themselves in, superstar forward Paul George has continued to answer questions regarding his recent comments regarding his teammates.

"Obviously, he's one of the better - I think him, Kawhi and probably Tony Allen are the best on-ball defenders in the league", Smith added. He did have eight of Cleveland's 19 turnovers, miscues that allowed the Pacers to hang around.

Game 3 is Thursday night in Memphis. The game tips off at 7:00 PM EST in Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indiana and can be watched live on FuboTV.

Recently, the LeBron James Family Foundation teamed up with Akron Public Schools to create the "I Promise" School, which will educate at-risk students who are part of the foundation.

Teague injured his right wrist in the second half and coach Nate McMillan said the starting guard will undergo X-rays.

"We have so many pieces on this team but everyone has to stay ready". Many are wondering what is wrong with the Cavaliers, but the fact of the matter is - they keep winning basketball games.

Monday's win provided far less drama than Saturday's nail biter, which saw Indiana's C.J. Miles miss a potential game-winner at the buzzer.

After sitting out the second half of Monday's game with a left hamstring issue, Smith participated in practice Wednesday. "We needed that spark".

"He's got to learn to control himself and be in the moment", George told ESPN.

"We all know that Lance is an emotional guy". "Lance, in our locker room, is looked upon as a leader. He's got to channel that toward making effort plays on the court and doing whatever he needs for us to succeed".

JR added that just because LeBron does not guard the opposition's best scorer does not mean he is not the best defender on the floor. Turner has under-performed, putting up only 11 points in the game one and only 6 points in game two.
