New England Patriots visit White House; Gronk crashes Sean Spicer briefing

As we learned before the Super Bowl, Tom's mother, Galynn Brady, has been battling cancer over the previous year, so many are anxious that the "personal family matter" he skipped White House event for has to do with her.

Members of the Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots are scheduled to visit President Trump Wednesday during the traditional visit to the White House.

Mr Trump jumped on the apparent error, tweeting, "Failing @nytimes, which has been calling me wrong for two years, just got caught in a big lie concerning New England Patriots visit to WH".

"I am so happy and excited that our team is being honored at the White House", Brady wrote in Wednesday's statement.

"It's a distinct honor for us to celebrate what was unequivocally our sweetest championship with a very good friend and somebody whose mental toughness and strength I greatly admire", he said.

Trump has close ties to the Patriots, counting owner Bob Kraft and coach Bill Belichick as friends.

No lawmakers attended the White House event.

Trump also received a personalized No. 45 jersey and helmet from Kraft and Belichick, respectively. According to Bleacher Report, Brady's mother has been fighting cancer and was unable to attend any of her son's games during the 2016 season, though she was at the Super Bowl. No one in the National Football League press dislikes Gronk, so I would assume that no one in the government press would dislike Gronk. Kraft gave the money via his Kraft Group LLC. Many noted their differences with the Republican administration.

In addition to visiting President Donald Trump, the Patriots took a pic at the White House with their five Super Bowl trophies.

"I don't believe in excluding other people", free safety Devin McCourty explained in a video released at the end of last week.
