Is Samsung planning dual cameras for the Galaxy Note 8?

Given that a score of 10 means the device is easiest to fix, this definitely shows that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are not your type if you are a DIY kinda person. The Note 8 is also not the largest Samsung smartphone on the market, however, as the South Korean company released a 7-inch Samsung Galaxy W, which never made it to the American market.

Both the Samsung S8 as well as S8+ variants are similar in appearance. Samsung is calling it as the "Infinity Display".

In an over-the-air update, Samsung has blocked the use of the button for anything other than Bixby.

Speaking of which, both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ still boast of a glass - Corning Gorilla Glass 5 this time round - and metal body, but unlike their predecessor phones, Samsung's 2017 flagships have near bezel-less screens. The dual-SIM phones run Android Nougat-based TouchWiz UI - Samsung Experience UX - and support 4G LTE connectivity. Users do not have to worry about getting the device damaged when dropped in water, as deep as 1.5 meters, for up to 30 minutes.

Specs-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ sport a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Super AMOLED screen respectively, featuring 2960 x 1440 Quad HD resolution.

That suggests Samsung was close to including dual-cameras on the larger of its most recent flagship, but chose not to at the last minute.

The S8 is slimmer than its predecessor, S7 and has no home button. Both phones have the IRIS scanner. While the former will have a 3,000mAh battery, the latter will come with a 3,500mAh battery.

Thankfully, Samsung bundles in a bevy of other biometric ways to unlock your phone. Bixby, which is essentially Samsung's version of Google Assistant which in itself is a pretty solid personal assistant. It's another assistant, although one for which Samsung has potentially high aspirations, but you'll need to bear with Samsung for a few months. "Thus offering users more authentication options that can be used interchangeably", Lee explained.
