Clay Buchholz leaves game after straining right forearm

New York Mets Yoenis Cespedes runs the bases after hitting his third home run of the night in the fifth inning of the team's baseball game against the Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday

Tempers flared between Phillies pitcher Edubray Ramos and Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera during Monday night's game in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Phillies lost their second straight game on Tuesday night, falling to the Mets. According to Statcast, all four of Cespedes's hits qualified as "barrels" and he produced the third-ever four-barrel game. Reyes doubled on the at-bat. With Matt Harvey set to face Clay Buchholz in the pitching matchup, the over/under now sits at 8 runs.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Yoenis Cespedes slowly circled the bases after each of his three homers, enjoying the results on a sweet night that began with an impressive power stroke in batting practice.

Antonio Senzatela threw seven sharp innings for his first major league win and the Colorado Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 3-2. "So I just thought I will move him down tonight, and when he gets it going, he is too big a piece of the team and too big a piece of something we don't have, and that's somebody who can create runs without hitting a homer, who we need to get going". "As soon as I start to lay off those pitches I think I'm going to be better, because they have to throw me strikes and I can put my best swing on the ball".

After the game Mets manager Terry Collins said it was a cramp and they were confident he would make his next start. "If you get mad at that, I don't see why you get mad at that". He pitched 2 1/3 innings, giving up eight hits and six runs.

"Today was just unacceptable", Morgan said afterwards.

"Tonight, he was hitting everything", Harvey said.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Clay Buchholz left Tuesday's start in the third inning with what is being called a right forearm strain. Travis D'Arnaud went 3 for 4 with a homer and 2 RBI.

An MRI on Wednesday revealed the injury.

"They were excited to come here". Every starter save for pitcher Matt Harvey contributed a hit by the fourth inning as the Mets tallied 20 safeties, including 14 for extra-bases and seven homers.

Cespedes hit three homers once before, at Colorado on August 21, 2015. Harvey did serve up two home runs to Matt Kemp, but 55 of his 77 offerings were strikes and his velocity peaked at 95 miles per hour.

Cespedes entered Tuesday with just one homer in 26 at-bats in this young season, but the All-Star has always pounded Philadelphia pitching and swatted homers at Citizens Bank Park.

"He's been spoken to many times", Mackanin said. Duda's first homer traveled 448 feet over the batter's eye in center.

Addison Reed allowed Brock Stassi's solo homer in the ninth but recovered to earn his second save. Harvey also missed the 2014 season following Tommy John surgery.

The Blue Jays dropped to 1-6, the worst start in team history. Houston's Yuri Gurriel went 3-for-4 to double his season hit total. Curtis Granderson led off and was 1 for 4 with three strikeouts and two walks.

CF Odubel Herrera extended his hitting streak to eight games dating back to the final game 2016.
