Two children abducted in Burton

Vehicle is a Blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Michigan Registration of DKZ4121 last seen travelling east on Schumacher St. from the Admiral Gas Station located at 4232 S Saginaw St.in Burton.

Update 10:05: WXYZ in Detroit is reporting that the children have been found safe in Flint-area.

Burton police said the man was spotted on surveillance video walking along Saginaw Street just before the vehicle was stolen.

The mother told police she stopped at the Admiral and left the auto running while she went in to get cigarettes.

Police say 2-year-old Arinna Buing and 9-month-old Lincoln Buning were in a two-door Monte Carlo when it was stolen around 7:00 a.m. The vehicle was stolen around 7 a.m.at an Admiral Gas Station on Saginaw Street.

Police said they are still searching for the suspect, who appeared to have abandoned the auto and children.

There has not been an Amber Alert issued as of this time.

"It looks like we got the kids and they're OK", he said during a press conference following recovery of the children.
