As that upper system approaches, line of strong to severe thunderstorms will likely develop along cold front during the day Friday with a convective line sweeping through the area by late Friday evening, forecasters said. North northeast wind around 6 miles per hour becoming calm in the evening. Calm wind becoming east northeast around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon. Southwest wind 9 to 15 miles per hour.
