But if you've taken a live video you're especially proud of on Instagram, there's good news, as the photo-sharing site has introduced a new feature allowing users to save their live broadcasts. A particular downside, however, presented itself in the fact that Live Videos couldn't be saved, which could pose an issue if someone live streamed, for example, a surprise birthday celebration.

The video will no longer be available on the app.

Last year, Instagram launched its Live feature, which lets users give their followers a peak into their lives in real time. It has since been gradually rolling out this feature to more users across the globe.

To broadcast live, users simply need to swipe right from their feed to open the camera, and tap "Start Live Video". With a new update, Instagram is fixing that issue. This means that you won't be able to save any of the comments, likes, or viewers that watched their broadcast, so if you're interested in seeing any of those details you'll want to interact with them or view that information as the broadcast is happening. "These updates are available as part of Instagram version 10.12 available for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play".
