Ryan Reynolds Says Jake Gyllenhaal Is a Better Cook Than Blake Lively

Two's company The Critics Choice Awards winner 40 was caught up in Storm Stella forcing his co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson to go on without him as they promoted their new film Life

Some of the first signs of the newly-forged bond came earlier this week when Reynolds gave high praise to Gyllenhaal on "Good Morning America", calling him one of the most interesting actors now working in Hollywood. "He can throw down. It gets very competitive".

The intense kitchen battles apparently occur during the actors's hangouts, which happen quite frequently, according to Ryan.

"I easily think he's the most interesting actor working in Hollywood today", Reynolds gushed about Gyllenhaal.

"I was always like: "God, that's hard", he told Good Morning America on Thursday 16 March. Reynolds said Saturday that his co-star is "one the greatest actors of this generation".

Well, they definitely are the best of friends and it's very good that they also live close to each other and hang out a lot.

"I don't know if I have the same paranoia about some sort of creature from another planet, I am a little bit more terrified about the things that are happening on Earth right now, that somehow some sort of alien creature has come into play".

As the "GMA" team reacted in shock to his comment, the 40-year-old star quickly realized the error in his ways and began mapping out his gloomy future: "I'm moving out at the end of the month". "I'm already making plans".

Reynolds and Gyllenhaal play Roy Adams and David Johnson, two crew members aboard the International Space Spation, in Life.

But what really made me nod my head in agreement - as if Ryan could see my soul the times I've flown (solo) with my now 3- and 1½-year-old boys - was when he said, "I would rather drink a piping hot bowl of liquid rabies than get on a plane with my two children".

Reynolds described his connection with Gyllenhaal to the Page Six, "You do these films and get to work with really awesome people, really talented people and you think 'oh I'm going to hang out with these people afterward and see them again.' You don't most of the time because you go on living your life".

Ryan Reynolds has risked the wrath of his wife Blake Lively by suggesting his new best friend Jake Gyllenhaal is a better master chef.
