Kansas woman dies at Florida clinic after Brazilian Butt Lift procedure

Florida authorities probe Missouri woman’s surgery death

Some reports in the New York Daily News indicated that Ms. Hall is the second woman in less than a year who died due to a Brazilian butt lift procedure at the same plastics surgery clinic in Miami. "Unbelievable, like it's not true", she said.

Ranika, 25, was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead an hour later.

Ranika Hall left behind a 1-year-old daughter, according to Nicole Hall.

Little did Hall and her family know that her decision would result in a catastrophe. In less than a year, there are two similar cases in which young women died after undergoing cosmetic surgeries at the same United States clinic.

She said: "I tried to talk her out of it".

A law firm representing Eres said in a statement: 'Eres Plastic Surgery are deeply saddened by what has occurred and offer their thoughts and prayers during this hard time'.

And despite her tearful mother urging her not to go through with the procedure, Ranika visited the Eres Plastic Surgery in Miami and sadly never came out alive.

The site has been a plastic surgery center for more than a decade but has changed names and ownership multiple times during that period.

A statement released from the centre reads: "Dr. Daniel Calva and Eres Plastic Surgery express their deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our patient who had recently undergone a cosmetic procedure at our center on Thursday evening". They were very distraught about their granddaughter's death.

The method implies the use of liposuction to extract fat from some other parts of the body to inject it into the buttocks. The woman's death is the latest in at least 11 deaths reportedly due to plastic surgery complications in South Florida since 2010, NBC 6 reports. The procedure, however, increases the probability of a condition known as fat embolism in which fat enters the bloodstream of the patient and eventually causing their death.

An investigation is now underway in Halls's case.
